TEAM
The handpicked cast of all-star drivers and crew members assembled by Steve Cameron, Team manager of Finlay Motorsports, to contend for the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series championship in 2006, succeeded beyond all expectations. In its first year of competition in the extremely competitive Grand American Rolex Series, Finlay Motorsports won from the pole in the season finale at Mexico City, scored its first podium finish at Barber Motorsports Park, and finished the season sixth in the championship with a record of two podiums, six top-5 and ten top-10 finishes.

The team ran a one-car Daytona Prototype effort for regular drivers Memo Gidley and Michael McDowell, with McDowell and Finlay sharing driving chores in the team's Grand Am Cup car. In the final race of the season, the team expanded to two prototypes, with Rob Finlay making his debut in the top category co-driving with regular 'guest driver' Michael Valiante.
For 2006, Finlay Motorsports fielded a full-time team with a Ford-powered Crawford Daytona Prototype in the 15-race Grand American Rolex Series Schedule. Finlay and Valiante competed as the No. 5 Make-A-Wish/Z-Line Designs car.

Finlay Motorsports also challenged for the Grand Am Cup series championship, with Finlay and Michael McDowell co-driving the #15 Ford Mustang in the 10-race schedule.

The non-driving part of the Finlay Motorsports team, including master tacticians Steve and Rick Cameron, returns intact for 2007. The Cameron brothers, legends in the world of open-wheel racing, are charged all areas of team operations, including coaching the drivers, engineering the cars and organizing at-track operations during both testing and race weekends.
